The rooftop of London’s Ham Yard Hotel made an appropriately green and sunny setting for the 2019 Attracta Beauty Awards on Thursday morning.
Established and emerging stars of the beauty world gathered for a ceremony themed around ‘Beauty of the Ages’, hosted by Attracta Beauty Awards founder Attracta Courtney, a world renowned make-up artist with over two decades of industry experience working for titles including Vogue and Vanity Fair.
The awards recognised 79 new and established brands in the categories of Skincare, Make-up, Haircare and Male Grooming and were judged by an expert panel of beauty professionals, including Gina Kane, Florrie White and Gow Tanaka.
A Sustainability prize was also given to Weleda, an organic beauty brand which has been creating natural products for nearly 100 years.
The event featured keynote speeches from modelling legend Jan de Villeneuve, who touched on her 50 years of experience in the world of fashion, and activist Satish Kumar, author of Elegant Simplicity: The Art of Living Well.
This is the fifth year the Attracta Beauty Awards has been running. Courtney reflected that 2019 had been the “best yet” and the awards “continue to celebrate the amazing work of the British Beauty Industry and its vast amount of talent and innovation, whilst still leading the conversation and debate around intelligent beauty choices.”
Tabitha received an award for winning the best Luxury Hair Treatment category with her Scented Organic Hair Oil.
