Lemongrass is a type of grass grown in India and it’s surrounding nations. It has been used for generations in Indian Medicine particularly against infection, illness and fevers due to it’s antibacterial and antiseptic citral composition. It also has a tonic and stimulating effect on the whole body. Unlike other essential oils it is not damaging to the skin if applied directly and does not tend to cause skin irritation. Like all other lemon based oils, it is a good insect repellent.
Why Tabitha includes it
The reviving and anti-fungal properties of Lemongrass are complemented by the scent which can be described as both herbaceous and citrussy. It is said to help revive the body and rejuvenate the mind.
