Tangerine (or Mandarin) is thought to have originated in China. The oil is extracted from cold compression of the peels. It is antiseptic, antispasmodic, cytophylactic, deperative sedative, stomachic and a tonic substance. It is known to stimulate the growth of new cells. It is used predominantely in Aromatherapy as an aid in treating digestive problems. It is also safe to consume during pregnancy.

It is a very gentle oil. It is used to deliver a fresh scent whilst gently stimulating the scalp with it’s energising properties and revitalising the hair.
