TJK Organics Key Ingredients: The Magic of White Tea
There are many different types of tea in the world: Some are perfect for a calming cuppa on a busy day; some leave you buzzing with enough energy to run a marathon and others are ideal for soothing the senses and sending you off into a blissful sleep. In fact, the intake of most teas in moderation have been known to be a key ingredient for overall happiness and health and there’s pretty much a tea for all occasions.
However, out of all of these, White Tea is the Tabitha James Kraan Organics favourite.
Revered by the Chinese Song Dynasty and the beverage of choice for the royal court, White Tea is something quite magical and an essential component of our organic hair care line.
White Tea has a huge number of health and beauty benefits that we have harnessed into our Organic Dry Shampoo and Organic Hair Perfume. From serious ‘anti-ageing’ properties (although we don’t like that term – find out why here) to the ability to massively enhance colour vibrancy and shine, here’s just a few of the reasons why we love it:
Where it all began…
White Tea is picked from the youngest and most tender leaf tips and buds just before they bloom, which results in a delicate flavour when drunk and a huge energy source, though through vitality, rather than caffeine.
Regarded as one of the finest teas in the world and grown almost exclusively in the Fujian Province in China, White Tea is far less processed than other teas, making it an exceptionally pure and natural option.
Why we use it…
UV rays are one of the most damaging ‘every day’ factors when it comes to hair, but fortunately, White Tea has the amazing ability of protecting hair and skin from this otherwise inevitable harm. Consider a spritz of our hair perfume throughout the day a kind of sunscreen for your locks.
White Tea is a fierce anti-oxidant agent, very high in Polyphenols which helps to neutralise free radicals, on the surface and internally, making them less destructive and leading to vibrant colour and super shine for your tresses!

Where you’ll find it…
